| VARIFREE Overview
VARIfree is a transponder-based door locking system
designed for organisations with residential accommodation including
educational establishments, hospitals, retirement villages,
hostels and conference centres.
VARIfree uses radio frequency technology and re-programmable
chips to ensure high security and easy programming.
The system comprises:
- Door locks and a choice of furniture styles
- Entrance readers
- A choice in programming equipment depending on complexity
of the system
- Integration with the Safe-O-Tronic locking system and
with major front desk and PMS systems.
VARIfree is simple to operate and thanks to its
hands-free operation has a long life with no wear to either
key or lock. Three authorisation checks are made each time
a key is read and the key, which merely contains the Philips
Hi-Tag chip, can take many different forms – a card,
watch or fob to name but a few.
Programming facilities include timed keys, audit trails and
easy on-going expansion of the system.
