SAFE-O-PIN Overview

Ian Loveridge, Director, Keyservice Ltd

For those having to administer locker allocation and security, the new Safe-O-Pin® digital lock eliminates the need for a key, a card or a tag, allowing the locker occupant to select his or her own code at the lock.

The code, which permits one-time access to the locker, can be a four to ten-digit code (or as the keypad allows letters, a memorable word) with only authorised management having an emergency access code in case the user forgets his own.

The unit has a smooth-faced membrane keypad, providing a high level of vandal-resistance and is constructed in high-impact, hard-wearing plastic.

Completely wire-free, the stand-alone units are battery-operated with no need for computer control or programming.

Designed to easily upgrade existing Safe-O-Mat® mechanical deposit and coin-operated locks, which are widely used in local authority pools, private leisure centres and spas, Safe-O-Pin® offers a more economic alternative to other electronic access control systems while providing an ‘intelligent', secure and user-friendly lock.

The lock can also be used for small safes in hotels, student accommodation and similar residential applications.
